SHB30416 Certificate III in Hairdressing
The Certificate III in Hairdressing qualification is nationally recognised. It has been designed as ‘THE STANDARD’ trade entry qualification for the hairdressing industry. This qualification provides you with the required knowledge and skills to competently perform as a qualified hairdresser.
Functions at this level include applying skills and knowledge to sell products and services, ensuring a safe working environment and performing a full range of hairdressing services.
By undertaking this qualification you will develop the skills to enable you to work as part of a team in a national or international salon, performing a range of services that include:
All applicants must be at a minimum age of 16 years and must meet language, literacy and numeracy standards.
There are no pre-requisites for this course

Fee for Service (Fast Track)
- $7500 if you completed Certificate II in Salon Assistant with Impact Training Institute.
- $8500 if you completed Certificate II in Salon Assistant at another RTO.
- Otherwise $10500 for the full Certificate III.

On successful completion of the Certificate III in Hairdressing, students will be competent to work as qualified Hairdressers within the Australian Hair and Beauty Industry. Students can also articulate into a Certificate IV in Hairdressing or directly enrol into the Diploma of Hairdressing Salon Management.
